If anyone is looking to get one, the manufacturer, SpinMaster will be putting them on sale at 1pm today but they have a limited quantity - below is an email I received from them

Just FYI.. I bought mine at Shoprite last week in Hauppague!! Another place not many people know about.

FYI if you can't find one, Target has these gift cards that you can give. They don't guarantee a Hatchimal, but I'm sure they will be in stock after Christmas. You add the amount you want like a regular Gift Card...but it's definitely cute to give!

I agree! I took a few of them for friends...and if I have any left, I would be happy to pass them along if people have a hard time finding at their store. They obviously have NO value on them...you have to take the card to the store to add the money to them.
