RED HOOK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A pit bull puppy named Apollo is credited with saving a teenage girl from being raped in Brooklyn.
The 18-year-old was walking her dog in Red Hook Stadium Park Monday night, when a man approached her from behind, grabbed her and threw her to the ground.
Police say as he tried to remove her clothing, the teen's 5-month-old pit bull bit the man on the leg, causing him to run away.
I just like seeing positive stories about pit bulls.

ETA: Also, she was walking the dog... what dumb ass tries to attack someone walking any dog, but especially a pit?!

Pits are incredibly family loyal. My pit was the biggest mush but I'm 100% certain that if anyone tried to mess with us he would have intervened.

It's never the breed, it's how they are raised.
Pit bulls are beautiful bog dogs. I love them to pieces!! My DH won't get one because our home insurance and many others, won't cover you 
As it is we were quoted an extra $600 a year for our Rottie. They are next on the list of Uninsurable Pets.
Meanwhile, it's my 14 lb. min pin who will take your life if you come into my home and my DH isn't here hahaha He thinks hes big
