Because we tear apart everything. Oh politics. I didn't realize how much these two really disliked each other but the clips are vicious!
Yet he picked her for a fairly important position. I assume she was ok with it since you can't just toss a name out there without letting them know.

on an unrelated side note.. holy crap, she's only 3yrs older than me. She's done a heck of a lot in her time. Impressive, no matter how you look at it.

But wasn't that sort of the point of draining the swamp (which I swear I must have missed during the campaigns). I doubt she has zero knowledge.
Is she the status quo? I doubt seriously, but I would hope she will bring some perspective being of American birth by immigrant parents. She's young, so she's not bound to the same ol same ol as much and I would hope open to better and newer ideas. She's literally our generation.
But I will be first to say I have NO FREAKING CLUE.  Just impressed at her age and how much she's done. And hey at least she's not some other choice. If you're only complaint is young and inexperienced. THOSE can be fixed.

She is accomplished, for sure. She is a 'mainstream' Republican though I don't know if she's considered an 'insider' who is part of the 'swamp.' All these labels. 
There has been some controversy about a trip she took to Paris in her first term as governor, and the amount of taxpayer money spent. And she replaced a woman in a high level position with a campaign donor who was a man. Otherwise there isn't much about her that is problematic.
It has been interesting to read Trump's Facebook page and some of the comments about her though. Many supporters are not happy about her, and not happy about Romney either.
