Rolling over for the first time - when to count it?
My 5 week old rolled belly to back 3 times yesterday (to the right) and then again twice this morning (to the left). It seems really early for her to be rolling over, doesn't it? But she did it more than just once or twice, and she did it in both directions (right and left) so I'm not sure? Thoughts?

Dd did it at a week consistently, so I'm going to go with probably not a fluke. That being said, I thought I would be in for it with gross motor skills, and everything else she was completely normal for-crawling at 9 months walking at 13

My second rolled a few times belly to back at 8 weeks, 4 weeks adjusted, but then she stopped. Ended up with motor delays and needing pt. My first rolled from her back at 12 weeks and the other way right before 6 months but both only for a brief period. Also had motor delays and needed pt. I'd say see if she keeps it up but obviously she has plenty of time.

I would count it. My 4th ds did it at his one month appointment, but only had done it 2 or 3 times since - He is 10 months old now.

I'd count it and also agree about it not really correlating with other motor skills. DD rolled at like 6 weeks and didn't crawl till 9 months! She's 10 months now and I don't see her walking without holding on for a bit.

I'm not even thinking about other motor skills, I know there isn't a correlation. I was just curious as to what the line was between "fluke" and "yeah okay my kid legit rolled over."
