Tell me your car seat configuration for 3 kids?
Which seat did you put the infant seat in?
If you have to buckle all 3 kids, is it easier to do 3 across or 1 in the 3rd row.

We have a minivan. They are all in 5 pt harnesses and require assistance. We took out the passenger side captain's chair. The infant is in the driver's captain's chair. The two older ones are in the third row.

I have all three across. The infant seat is behind the driver, my oldest son is in the middle in a booster and then I have a convertible car behind the passenger side.

I have a Chevy Trailblazer with 3 across (same size as an explorer) When DS was in the infant seat, I had 2 Diono Radians FF behind the driver and in the center and DS was RF behind the passenger.
DS is still RF behind the passenger but in another Diono Radian. They're 17" wide or so.

We will need to get 2 diono radians also I think. How are the narrow seats once winter coats are involved? I imagine my kids will be a little uncomfortable?

We had a minivan - 2 kids in the back (oldest could buckle in himself) baby was behind the passenger side. If no one can buckle I would still put 2 in the back as long as you can have easy access to the 3rd row

We have a Volkswagen Toureg which is really too small for us. We tossed around the idea of getting a minivan but when we realized we would be able to fit 3 across, we decided to keep what we have and hold off to get what we really want in another year or so. For my two older girls we have 2 foonf clek carseats. They are under 17 inches at their widest points. The only other seats that may have worked (that I know of) were Dionos. When the baby is out of the infant seat we will also get another clek. It is tight in the back but they do fit. Next car will be a Suburban or a Yukon for sure. Even if we have a 3rd row I like being able to fit 3 across and not use the third row.

I didn't have any issues... I got very squishy down jackets for them, but I'm one of those moms who also takes jackets off when possible. I have blankets in the car for their legs
