Legoland/Disney World commuting tips
If you've done a joint LL/DW trip, did you rent a car to get from one park to the other? This seems like our best bet but is there another way?
I have read that a taxi costs about $100 each way.
There is also a shuttle, not sure where it picks up at DW but it only leaves once a day at 9am. Doesn't seem convenient.

Did you try pricing Uber? We used it a lot on our last trip and found it really economical. I just priced French Quarter to Legoland and it's coming up as $28-37 for 4 people. It's definitely worth checking out.
Just wanted to add that if you need car seats you will have to select Uber Family. That may be a few $ more.

Re: Legoland/Disney World commuting tips
We drove to LEGOLAND when it first opened a few years ago. We like having a car and we usually stay on Disney property. I can't deal with those Disney buses.

I've done it all ways over the years... I prefer renting a car & staying off property. Depending on when you visit... Rental cars can cost as much as the cab back & forth from airport. You can get a much nicer place off site & we don't gun it in the AM (we will stay late though). The shuttles from independent hotels aren't bad... You can always take it one way & cab it back. They drop off at the Disney transportation terminal & you can get the monorail or boat from there (it's like the parking lot). I was not a fan of Disney buses either! These were terrible!

The LEGOLAND bus leaves from the area where the Orlando Eye is. I used it last summer with my mom and my nephew. It was convenient to where we stayed (near Universal) and we did not have a car. Even if we had a car, I might've taken the bus anyway. My nephew napped on the way back and we were able to get dinner at the shopping center when we came back.

When I went to LL parking was super easy (unlike Disney). I would rent a car for the day. It will be cheaper than a cab and you will be more comfortable.
