Disney planning help
Looking into planning my Disney trip for 2017 and need help coming up with an itinerary
-plan on going for 6 days/5 nights and want to do MK, Epcot, HS (not doing Animal Kingdom this trip) so not sure how to pick which park for which day -going with 3 kids (ages 7, 5 and 2) -not doing park hoppers -haven't booked flights yet so not sure of flight times
We love Epcot and MK the most .. do you think two full days or 1 full and 1 half in Epcot? Also how many days in MK?
Any help/advice greatly appreciated!!

Re: Disney planning help
I think you are going to want 2 days in MK and at least one full day in epcot. its a big park with a lot of walking. Depending on what time you get in you may want to make your first day the half day at epcot. I am planning a trip there for the same amount of days. If you plan on doing dining in the park I would try to do the dinning first before you plan out your trip. Reservations go fast! I am getting a park hopper but I am not getting a 6 day ticket since we wont be in the parks on the day we are leaving . So watch for that when you are booking. They will automatically give you the 6 day on disney.com . I would do EPcot, MK, HS, Epcot , MK .

Also since you are not doing park hoppers take advantage of restaurants that are not in the parks but in the resorts or resorts near the parks. Like Ohana in The Polynesian ( my fav) Chef mickeys in the contemporary, 1900 park fair in the grand floridian ( my favorite character breakfast) There is also Disney springs that you don't need tickets for that have dinning, and there are restaurants on the board walk.

Re: Disney planning help
You should also check for extra magic hours on the days you will be there. If you are staying onsite and are going to take advantage of them, then you would want to factor that in when you plan. If you are off site, then you might want to avoid parks with extra magic hours because of crowds. (I think that matters more on high crowd level days.) We recently did Epcot with kids similar in age. It is an exhausting park. We did one day Epcot and missed a few things we wanted to do. We are good planners, but it rained pretty badly on and off, and the park is huge and we ended up doing a lot of walking back and forth that we normally would not have done. Also, on very sunny days, I find that Epcot has a lot less shady areas than Magic Kingdom and that always knocks us out too.

Re: Disney planning help
I like to utilize the boats in epcot that bring you over to the other side of the world showcase. especially if you wanna do half the park one day and half another day.

Re: Disney planning help
before planning which days you will visit the various parks, i would recommend checking the various park crowd calendars. I prefer easywdw.com. Undercover tourist and Kenny the Pirate. This will provide insight regarding expected crowds and give you the ability to choose less crowded parks
