Vitamin question

2 days ago I gave dd the prescription vitamin from my doctors - multivitamin with iron and fluoride. I'm still on the fence about the whole fluoride thing but I'm actually writing about the iron. Dd still has that metallic smell from the iron after 2 full days. Is this normal? She's had a bath, I've brushed her gums. The smell is making me sick. Anyone else have this experience?

For anyone who's gone the non-fluoride route, what drops do you use? With or without iron?

Dd is approaching 9 mos.

I give my dd Child Life, non rx. No fluoride, personally against it but to each is own...
No iron smell at all. Its got a mango flavor so I never smell anything

That's strange. It does smell if it gets in their skin or clothing but I've never had it persist like that. I give it at night, brush her teeth soon after and the smell is gone. I gave it to my oldest for a long time bc the ped recommended it and she liked it. With my youngest she has had issues with anemia since birth so it's been a fight at times but I give it and it has made a huge difference when she takes it regularly.

I don't do fluoride. I give baby plex vitamins for dd2.
