Wording help
As I posted previously I got laid off. I would like to ask for a prorated bonus since I worked during the time when it is busiest and when our numbers are made. Payouts are usually in March. Per every severance negotiation article I've read it says ask for it but I cannot find wording.
Any suggestions?

Re: Wording help
Since annual bonuses are based heavily upon performance in July and August (whatever the busy season is), I am requesting a prorated bonus based on my (name specific activities) during this time period.
Would that work?

OOO, that's a great idea to ask. I know that my company has a loop hole that says you need to be there the full calendar year to be eligible.

Mine too but literally every severance article says to ask. They can always say no.
