3.5 year old won't sleep in her bed
DD was transitioned to a twin bed about 9 mths ago. It was a battle but she eventually slept in it.
About 4-5 mths ago she started waking throughout the night. Tried to come into our bed but we stopped that. Now she brings in her pillow and blanket and sleeps on our floor.
At bedtime she also needs one of us to sit outside her door and once she's asleep we can sneak away.
We've Tried walking her back but she thinks it's s game and it actually wakes her up more. We've also tried stickers for if she stays in her bed and told her she'd get a prize after 3 stickers. Neither of these ideas work.
Looking for some advice, esp since DC2 will be coming in Feb.

Maybe a night light? Home Depot has a bunch of really cool ones that project onto the ceiling. Maybe she could go with you to pick it out? We got a space one with all these planets. My kids love it.
I know your DD is a little old for it, but my friend bought her daughter a glo-worm (actually the pink seahorse one) at that age when she was doing the exact same thing. That along with sleep time care bear were the 2 things she slept with (she still does now at almost 6). They were like her safety toys at night.
Hang in there!

Thanks. We have like 3 different night lights, but maybe i'll try the glow worm or something similar. Hoping it's a phase and eventually she will grow out of it. As everyone says, she won't go off to college still sleeping on your floor!

What about removing the nightlight and just put one in the hall...
My dd goes through phases where she wants a night light in her room for a few months. Then for some reason the shadows start to scare her and she doesn't want it anymore.
I do sit in the chair in her room for 10 minutes (I set a limit with her) and if shes not asleep she understands I will still leave the room.
Maybe (If you haven't already) try to find out if something is scaring your dd in her room? A night light? A toy? Something in the room? Maybe she hears a noise? Just try to ask her why she wont sleep in her room? Does she have a sound machine? A lovey? A favorite blankey? Something to comfort her that you feel comfortable leaving in bed with her?
