Gifts for Godfather?
I know not everyone gets gifts for the godparents at a Christening, but we wanted to. My sister is the godmother and BIL is the godfather. My sister was easy peasy- I got her an alex and ani bracelet with a "godmother" charm and a Kate Spade bag that I got on SUPER sale. I spent about $125 for both. I hadn't originally planned on that much, but my sister has been such a help all throughout my pregnancy and since DD's birth- she's come over to build furniture with me, came to do one big trip to BJ's right before I gave birth so I was stocked, cleaned the house and took care of the dogs while I was in the hospital, and decorated for DD's homecoming complete with a "welcome wagon" filled with gifts- not to mention she has graciously offered to watch DD every morning before she leaves for work in the afternoons. So I went a little crazy, but I still had gotten a great deal and I don't feel bad about it. But now I have NO idea what to get my BIL and DH is useless for ideas. Looking to spend around the same- about $100 and to get something that he'll actually get use out of. Maybe a small token as a memory, too, like I did for my sister. Any ideas? If you got gifts for the godparents, what did you get for the godfather?

Re: Gifts for Godfather?
I did not spend nearly that much on gifts, but I did get the Godfather a godfather picture frame and put a pic of DS and him in it. Then I got him a gift card to MLB.com

Gifts for Godfather?
We got an engraved bottle opener with a godfather saying from Etsy and a good bottle of imported beer from Belgian.

I was thinking something along these lines. Etsy has a really nice engraved pilsner glass with "The Godfather" on it, and I've seen some nice bottle openers as well. Though I think a bottle of liquor might be better for him. May I ask where you got the beer from?

I do like the frame idea but I don't have pictures of him and the baby, aside from the day she was born. I figured we'll get some from the christening and maybe include that as part of his Christmas gift. I just feel weird giving an empty frame.

Re: Gifts for Godfather?
I agree with getting a personalized godfather glass, that's what I did for my brother.
I also got him a personalized tie bar from Etsy. The front has his monogram and the back says Godfather.
