I see that many of you use Peapod on the grocery thread. I used it, and then they suddenly started being out-of-stock on really basic things every single time...milk, for example.
I have my account set to substitute products if my original choice isn't available. Each time, I contacted customer service and was given a discount; however, it still meant I had to go to the store, dissolving the purpose of Peapod for me in the first place.
Have others had this consistent issue? It's made me stop using Peapod almost entirely.

Yep, and that's why I stopped using them. It wasn't so convenient when I had to go to the store anyway.

This week I used a free 30 day trial for Amazon Fresh and it was good

No I rarely have that issue and when I do it's usually something more specific and not a basic thing like milk.

I have had this happen too. Now that they have the substitution option it has helped. I still figure that if I have to run to the supermarket for one thing on my way home from work, it is better than going for an hour long shopping trip with two young kids. I also don't think I have ever paid full price for delivery. There is always a free delivery code or $5 off code in my email.

This happened constantly. My last straw was when I ordered one of those sweet cream creamers for the coffee and they substituted for a sugar free one

If you have amazon prime try Amazon Fresh. I love it. I've had 3 deliveries so far and I don't have any complaints.

I absolutely hated them the couple of times I used them!
I LOVE King Kullen's home delivery. After you place your order, they call you and go over everything, including substitutions before delivery.
The difference: Peapod loads yourorder in from a warehouse, not the store.
Instead, King Kullen is an actual in-store shopping service, so if you know it exists in the store and the product isn't listed online, you can actually just write it in! (i.e. online they don't have organic butter listed, but I know it's in my local store, so I just write in, "Organic Valley Butter 1lb "
They're so friendly and accommodating.

I have prime but I checked and it's not available in my area. I am so disappointed as every surrounding town seems to have availability

I use Peapod all the time and have been for years. Have never had a problem at all. I do not buy meat or produce from them though as I like to pick them out myself but everything else is always fine. We buy alot of bottle water and I hate lugging those cases so for that alone it is a plus.

I've been using them this month for the free 30 day trial but for an additional $299.00 a year it is so not worth it...They do not carry a lot at all.
