I would check the height requirements. There are many rides my kids could not go on... The simulations and shows we did more of... Even the height for ET is 34 inches. Kids enjoyed Barney, the fear factor show, loved the water play areas (bring a bathing suit). There was enough to have a good time... But know what they can do before you get tickets!

We were there when my kids were 1.5 yrs old and 6. There wasn't a ton to do for the my little one but he was so young that he didn't care. There were enough fun rides and things to do for my older one. She actually REALLY enjoyed Universal.

This, check the height requirements. My DD did many of the rides but she was 6 and just tall enough for most of them. Make sure there are enough rides to go on at your DC's height or it might get boring there.

Wanted to add... Mine were the same age as yours (almost 3 & 4) when we went. The 3 year old is tall. She was free, so it wasn't horrible that she missed lots of stuff... And it was enough for the 4 year old (buuuut know what to expect).

We just went in November and did the Islands of Adventure side. My girls are 4 and my nephew is 5. He was able to ride almost everything but the Forbidden Journey ride. We had an issue that my one daughter is slightly taller then the other and she hit the height for more things. My niece was also there and she was almost 3 at the time and she could barely ride anything.

Re: Has anyone done universal studios with young kids?
i did Island of adventures when DD was i think 3 and there was barely anything for her to do there.
i am going to Florida in a couple of weeks and was debating about maybe going to Universal studios for a couple days. esp since we just got back from Disney in October but I decided not too for the price and lack of rides for my 2 yo to go on. its almost as much as Disney so i decided we would just go there so my 2yo can go on basically everything with us.

are you going to have a car? Just thinking if you did and wanted a place that really caters to the little ones.....drive to Legoland. We just got back and it was great for little ones.

My DD is 40in and my not even 3yr old is 38in so they will be able to do a lot of the rides. It was a free unexpected trip so we figure whatever they get to do is great, they won't know what they are missing. I wish we did have a car so that we could do Disney for a day. Does anyone know about transportation to Disney without a car??

We did Disney last year and loved it and we would've preferred going there again but this trip was sort of unexpected and handed to us so we can turn it down! Lol

Call Meyers. They can price a shuttle for you.

I just went w my 3yo. We did islands of adventure and universal. She did all the dr Seuss rides, ET, the minion ride but she had to sit in the handicap seat bc she wasn't tall enough. The Harry Potter train ride and prob a few more I can't remember. She loved it!

I would go with Uber. It's cheap in FL from what I have read, and if you are new, you can get a discount. Have them drop you at the Contemporary Resort, NOT the Transportation and Ticket Center, then you can just walk to the MK on the path
