Has anyone stayed at Coronado Springs (Disney)?
We can stay in either a preferred room or a standard room. The difference in price is significant ($500). We are traveling with a 4 yr old and 2 yr old. I've heard that the resort is very large, so not sure what to do. Help!

I don't think a preferred room is necessary but it depends what you are looking for. We stayed in building 8B of the Cabanas section. It was very close to a bus stop and the main pool area, as well as small beaches with hammocks. It is not near the main building/eating areas (those areas are not near the main pool). We didn't think we'd be eating there much and knew we wanted to be close to the bus and pool, so we made sure we got into that building.

It was recommended to me that we do a club level room there. They are in a preferred location and have the club benefits (continental breakfast, snacks and drinks in evening). We would have done that if we stayed at that resort.

The price difference on the club room is minimal. It comes up at "business room". I was just looking at it today actually

This just said "preferred." I didn't see anything mentioning business or club level when I booked.

It was probably sold out for your dates then.

We've stayed there the past 2 years, always in a standard room. We have 2 children with similar ages to yours. Cabanas 8b is a great location, close to bus and pool. We really enjoy this resort. Feel free to ask any other questions.

Thanks! We are going in December, so the pool isn't a priority. Which buildings would be nearest to the bus and the food area? We are staying in a standard room (I cancelled our preferred room to save $500).

I have stayed there and while I always suggest Preferred or Business Class for my clients, I have stayed in a standard room myself. The resort is gorgeous but it is very large. If you don't mind walking and the pool isn't a priority for your trip I think you could do a standard room and be happy as long as you go in knowing that you could be walking a mile a day just at the resort alone. :)

I actually asked my agent for you. She said Cabanas 9B. Hope that helps.

I use Kim Isaacson. I found her through a Disney group on Facebook. She is wonderful. She gets back to you within minutes with every ridiculous question I have. She also set up all of my fast passes and dining. I totally recommend her!
