When to take away the blanket?
Jack will be 2 in October and he is extremely attached to what he calls his "night night", aka...white blanket. It is a huge blanket that he needs with him. He sleeps with it, which is fine and I don't let him bring it outside, but when we are in the house he doens't go a 1/2 hour without it in his mouth. He chews and sucks on it.
When should I start to get him off of that? My instinct is telling me to wait since we are moving to a new house in two weeks, he is starting a preschool program in Sept and I am having a baby in October. So life as he knows it is going to be turned upside down.
So I should probably wait until things settle, right?
I just don't want him to be that big kid walking around with a blanket!

Yeah, I wouldn't take it away cold turkey. He's going to be going through a lot of transition and this could be his security.
I am embarrased to say I had a "meowsie" way past my toddler years. My mom started to cut it so it got smaller and smaller over time. Maybe you can try that. Good luck with everything

I see no reason to take it away now, it will be very helpful to him during the transitions. If he isn't taking it out of the house, I don't see any problem at all down the line either.
