Newborn falling asleep and length of time to fall asleep at night
What do you have to do (if anything) to help your LO fall asleep at night and how long does it take them to fall asleep? (At bedtime and after night feedings)

Newborn falling asleep and length of time to fall asleep at night
I had to nurse my DS to sleep until he was a year old.... It would take 15-40 minutes.

For newborns? Do anything that works. DS drank a bottle and fell asleep or needed to be rocked to sleep. He also slept in the swing, so the motion helped.
The only thing DD needed to fall asleep was the paci. It was magical.
Once they aren't newborns, then it's time to help teaching the baby to fall asleep on his/her own. Newborns don't have the ability to self soothe yet.

DD is almost 3 weeks. It takes 15 min to an hour. We walk around while shushing and bouncing until eyes are closed and then we rock in the glider. Sometimes she wakes when we put her down so we turn on the Rock and play. If that doesn't settle her, we start the process over.
