Donating Furniture
If I wanted to donate my bedroom set but I didn't want to have to move it or drive it anywhere, are there churches or other organizations that will just come and carry it out of the house and take it away?

From what I found they are very picky!
Is it a whole set?
I only had a dresser to donate and nobody would take it. They only want full sets.
And they want it in pretty perfect condition too.
I called Salvation Army, Big Brothers, Big Sisters and I can't remember the other one. (maybe some veteran's organization?)
Try them- if it's a whole set they might come for it.

Also see if your area has a Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I believe they pick up.

OK Great, thanks!
Its 2 dressers and 2 nightstands - from R&F, only 6 years old but a lot of peeling on the tops of the 1 dresser and the nightstands...so they may not want to take it since it's not in perfect condition.
I will try though.

I literally have someone coming to pick up my couches today
I bought new couches at Raymour yesterday and they have me this card for someone to pick up for free my old ones
They donate them to people who are struggling after overcoming many different kinds of addiction
I can get the card today and get all the info if you want

yes, please! I would rather it go to someone who really needs it than somewhere like salvation that resells it.

What about Boots on the Ground. I know they donate furniture to veterans just not sure what their procedure is for collecting donations.

Call Mike at And Furniture For All. He's through Suffolk DSS and will come pick it up from you. I've donated twice to his organization and use them as a resource for many of my clients.
