Transitioning to milk......
Going to start when DD is 11 months old, so that she's fully transitioned by the time she turns one. I know that it is recommended that you mix the cows milk in slowly with the formula (so a 7oz bottle would be 1oz cows milk and 6oz of formula) but how many days do you stay on that amount before you then go to 2oz cows milk and 5 oz of formula? What worked best for you? Thanks!

Transitioning to milk......
We just switched right to cow's milk at 1 yrs old. The first few bottles she didn't love but after the first day we had no issues. I have a bunch of friends with kids the same age who also just switched to milk & no one had issues

Transitioning to milk......
I never mixed. I just would give DS 2 oz of milk in a sippy cup at a time, doctor recommended this way, and then increase up to full cups and totally off formula within 2 weeks. We started at 1, we also dumped bottles, never gave him milk in a bottle. DS had already been eating lots of dairy.

Re: Transitioning to milk......
It's really not necessary to transition slowly. With my son I did 2 oz for a few days, then 4oz, then full milk, probably over the course of 2 weeks. And the only reason we did the slow transition was because I wanted to use up the formula we already had purchased.

Re: Transitioning to milk......
our dr told us to do this:
day 1: 1/3 mil, 2/3 formula day 2: 2/3 milk, 1/3 formula day 3: all milk.
worked fine.

Re: Transitioning to milk......
In the middle of it now. When I transitioned my first - I transitioned too quickly and she ended up constipated. So this time, I'm doing it slowly.
He was drinking 8 oz formula
Day 1: 7 oz formula, 1 oz milk Day 2: 6 oz formula, 2 oz milk Day 3: 5 oz formula, 3 oz milk and so on
On the 8th day, I'm switching him to just three full meals with milk in a sippy. Snacks in between. Going to try and get rid of the nighttime bottle around 13 months.
