Baptism favors
Any ideas on what I can give as baptism favors? Preferably not edible. TIA!
Just to clarify, I'm asking for ideas other than edible because edibles are my back-up plan. I personally just toss edibles (as do most of my family members), bit if I can't come up with other ideas, this is my back-up!

I have seen mini rosary beads. They are very pretty.

Re: Baptism favors
IMO any thing not edible most of the time is a waste of money. I end up throwing out almost anything I get from parties unless its actually useful and I do feel a little guilty about it but I don't want to keep it in my house I have enough stuff that I already don't need in there.
maybe a pen with the babies name and date I would use that and keep it. my mom got those along with edible favors for my shower. a candle is probably also good. anything that can actually be used

Agreed. I'd also stay away from monogramming anything. Sure, it's cool for you to have a candle with your baby's name and baptismal date on it, but I feel like it's odd for everyone else. Instead, I'd wrap it and put a tag on it- something removable.

Agreed. I know you're not looking for edible but for what it's worth, we have ordered custom cookies from the sugar chic in amityville for numerous occasions including DS' baptism and first birthday and we have always had a great experience ??

Re: Baptism favors
For dd we bought pretty 4x6 picture frames. We put a picture of dd in it in her baptism dress. I figured people then had a pic of her in her dress, but could also remove it and use the frame for whatever.
ds we gave wine and made labels for it.

Baptism favors
Cute soaps, decks of cards, wine stopper
When is the christening? If it's in the spring you could do small spring plants- daffodils, tulips, hyacinths.

I was also going to suggest a small potted flower/plant or some seeds to throw in the garden. Botanical Paperworks makes planting paper you can write a message on.
I don't do favors for anything though...I'm a pack rat and still toss 90% of them.

Re: Baptism favors
I know you said no edibles, but I received a jar of honey once and thought it was great, and came to good use. Other things I've received are an ice cream scoop, small mirror compact, small cross on a keychain, a Christmas ornament (during the holidays).
