how did you....
how did you tell your parents they were going to br grandparents for the first time? We are looking for a fun way to tell our parents....

I took pics of the 2 HPTs I took, framed them and gave it to them as late Mother's Day gifts.

I went to Hallmark to get a card for a wedding that I was attending. While there, I saw an angel that comes in a box, that they can put on their Christmas tree....that says "Grandmother". I wrapped it and gave it to them. It was around Easter when we told them so we said we wanted to give them their Easter present ahead of time...and when they opened it, they were sooo happy.... ..Plus it comes in a pretty box and it has a beautiful poem....

I really wasn't that creative - I recently started hosting Thanksgiving at my house for my mom and MIL - so I told my mom that she's going to have to come and cook for me this year. She was concerned something was wrong until I told her that I since I'm due to have a baby the next day I'll probably need some help. It took her a minute to process what I was saying but she eventually caught on

How we broke the news
It was the night before my graduation and my b-day so they didn't suspect a thing. My brother and sister-in-law's reaction is the best! 
ETA: The bibs said "I love grandma" in their native language
They didn't get it until the next day hahahaha

we gave them each a bear wearing a baby bib that read "i love grandpa" and "i love grandma" as well as a framed sono pic.....it took them a minute with the bears....until we told them to open the next gift (the frame) - then they got it!

I did the same which was cool to send to my Mom in PA. I called and made her open it while I was on the phone.

Our parents knew that we were working on a video from clips & stills from our wedding. At the end of the video, we had "Coming in December 2006" and following that shot, was the ultrasound pic. The whole thing was set to the song "What a Wonderful World/Over the Rainbow" by IZ and we set the last shot up at the lyric "I hear babies crying..."
We mailed it to them so that they would get it Saturday, the day before Mother's Day. (We are in NY, they are in MN) His parents saw it first and called us crying. My parents didn't check the mail until Sunday when I called my mom and prompted her to go get it. They popped it in while I was on the phone and the immediate reaction to the last shot was priceless. I wish I would've recorded it. My family (who were all there) screamed and my mom was speechless and bawling. It was very sweet!

When I was preggo with DD, we announced it the weekend of my Mother's birthday, so as a birthday gift we gave her a stoller/car seat traveling system. It took her a few seconds, but she caught on!!
With this pregnancy, we showed up at my parents house with my DD wearing a "I'm going to be a big Sister" t-shirt!
