Tell me about your amazing baby deals
We are expecting dd3 at the end of June. A lot of our gear is worn out, missing parts, or even still being used by our toddler and we aren't expecting a sprinkle or any large gifts. I'm hoping to gradually replace some gear between now and the fall (we won't need everything right away, of course).
Can anyone share ways that they saved big (like stacking coupons on top of sales) or specific sales events I should look out for? I know we JUST missed the BRU trade in event and am assuming Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day will be the big holidays to try to take advantage of. Any other advice? I prefer not to go second hand only because I end up getting nervous about car accidents, bed bugs, recalls I won't be listed for, etc. TIA!!!

What specific items are you looking for?
Look at the Baby Cheapskate website every day, they list deals. Also Target, BBB, and BRU always have a clearance section where you can score older models/designs for less.

Re: Tell me about your amazing baby deals
With baby #3, I took a totally different route & advertised among friends that most of my stuff (strollers) are trashed & asked if they have anything in decent condition.
I got tons of stuff from maternity clothes to baby carriers to strollers. People whose youngest is turning 4 are usually done.

I'm sure they still have stuff if you go in store. I saw a rock and play for $30 this week! There were strollers and other things too just not a huge selection.
I do well at kohl's with gear. You can't use coupons but if you time it right you can combine sales, kohl's cash and rewards, and ebates has great cash back offers at times.

I have a FP Rock & Play that rocks on its own and play music or nature sounds - its plug-in, not battery operated. I can sell it to you for $50.

Fisher price has a great parts store. If some of your gear is in decent shape, you can order missing or old parts. I lost the cushions to the swing and the battery thing to the bouncer and got them at a very reasonable cost.

Tell me about your amazing baby deals
I have found some AMAZING deals on clearance. I am the clearance Queen. This is our 2nd baby and even though we are having a shower I didn't feel comfortable registering for big ticket items plus some of the items I wanted were high end and $$$$. I always try to carry BBB or BRU coupons on me just in case and so far this is what I have bought:
Maxi Cosi Mico infant car seat in clearance aisle marked down to $60 at BRU from $200. New in box and never opened. I used a BBB coupon and got it for $48.
Mamaroo..found in clearance aisle at BBB. Looked like it was a returned gift marked down to $60 from $240. Used a BBB coupon and got it for $48. DH set it up as soon as I brought it home. The parts were still in plastic and everything worked fine.
Peg Perego Book Plus stroller..normally $600 bought on Amazon using their warehouse deals for $250. Box was open but everything was new wrapped in plastic
More recently I was with DD in TRU and went through the baby aisle. I spotted a Graco Fast Action jogger travel system normally $300 marked to $99.90. Everything brand new in plastic.
Fisher price Rock n play for $28 new in box through a Target sale.
Soooo basically I just scour the clearance aisles. I think BBB has a great selection of clearance stuff most of it new in box.
Craigslist is great too although I wouldn't buy a car seat from there.
