Carters returns
I received some clothes in newborn size that I will need to return and/or exchange. If they are regular Carters items that are sold in carters stores (i.e. They are not child of mine or their other lines for certain stores), will Carters take them back without a gift receipt? I have no idea what store they were purchased in.

They should. They took back some clothes I returned w/o receipts.

They will but you will get the rock bottom price. Which sometimes is dirt cheap

You could also return most to Kohls. They will still give you lowest price but you can use the credit for anything.

The carters I went to said that I had to exchange and couldn't get store credit since I didn't have have a receipt. I ended up getting bigger sizes so it worked out for me

You will get the lowest price and have to buy something right away. They no longer give you store credit. They will do an exchange for a different size no problem

You may literally get $1 or $2 per outfit back. IMO, I'd just donate them to a needy family or any of your friends who are pregnant. For me personally, for $2, I'd rather see someone else who needs the outfits get use out of them.

Thanks everyone. I will bring them in tomorrow and see what I get! If not, doll clothes or charity! Unfortunately one is Valentine's Day outfit (we got 3!) and the other are gowns which dd hates, so I can't exchange much.

The carters I went to today said only let me exchange (but it didn't have to be the same itemi, it could choose anything in store)but last week I went to a different one and they gave me a credit.
I got a decent price for my stuff...today I returned a small bear and an outfit and got $20, which is probably what I would've paid since they are always having a sale. It's worth a shot!
