story stones... for what age(s)?

i just discovered the concept of story stones

if you don't know what they are, they are items (maybe plastic cards, index cards, or small stones with flat sides) that have images on them. the child is to put them together to tell a story.

i think this would make an awesome gift, but i have no idea what age(s) they would be appropriate for.

i'm going to guess 3 and up, since the child should be able to have a half-decent vocab.

help.

thanks.
