Christening Centerpieces
I booked my sons christening at a catering hall and am having a hard time figuring out a centerpiece idea, it seems if I DIY it might end up costing just as much as hiring someone to do flowers. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies that do cute non-floral or floral/nonfloral-combo centerpieces for kids parties? Thanks

Yes! Not sure where you are located but Balloons Unlimited in Lynbrook is excellent. They do all my parties when it comes to centerpieces.

For my godson's party we did small flower pots with custom "toppers" I spray painted styrofoam discs to include the chocolate lollipops his grandma made. I would say they were about $17-20 each with everything. There are pics in my albums.

This is such a great post since I am starting to plan my daughter's communion. Last spring I saw these beautiful vases with artificial flowers in Marshall's. They looked very real. I considered using a hot glue gun and placing ribbon around the square vase. Hopefully they have something similar in there soon.

Re: Christening Centerpieces
I did my own centerpieces for my DD's baptism. I ordered hydrangeas and pink roses through Globalrose.com and got the vases at the dollar store, and it ended up costing me about $11 per CP
ETA a picture of the finished product! Image Attachment(s):

Re: Christening Centerpieces
I put framed pictures of DS on the table as centerpieces. I picked up some simple frames in dollar tree. I couldn't see spending all that money on flowers when they would just get thrown out.
