Re: Is your tree pre lit or not?
No...we honestly don't find putting the lights on that difficult. Maybe we are doing something incorrectly hahaha

Is your tree pre lit or not?
If I had a fake tree I probably would get it prelit. When we were growing up we had a fake one that wasn't prelit. It was huge and I remember my parents having to use a ton of lights.

Re: Is your tree pre lit or not?
I don't think prelits are all that. Half the lights on mine blew out after about 5 or 6 years, so now we have to put regular lights on anyway. It was convenient while it lasted, but lights are no big deal to put on.

We just took advantage of the post-Christmas sales at Harrows and bought an artificial pre-lit tree. The lights are LED which are apparently much better than the traditional wired lights (in terms of brightness, longevity, and if one of them burns out). We got a really great deal and I'm already looking forward to next Christmas and not having to go out, purchase a tree, deal with putting it into a stand, watering it, sap, falling needles, etc. For the first time ever, I think we'll put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving since we don't have to worry about it dying!

No. We got a new tree a couple of years ago and went with prelit and 2 days after Christmas a strand of them blew out. We returned the tree since we got it at BJs and went back to a regular tree. It can be a PITA to put on the lights, but it's once a year and takes an hour, I can handle that.

Re: Is your tree pre lit or not?
No, ours is not prelim. I like to put the lights on myself. Some years we do colored, some we do white. I usually put a ton of lights on the tree. Everyone I know who has a pre-lit tree has so much trouble with the lights. Whole sections die out and they have to string lights anyway.

Yes, I will never string lights again. I actually prefer a real tree but hate doing the lights.
I've had mine 4 years and all lights still work. If a section dies, I'll buy a new tree!
