any cute / clever ideas on how to give a gift of tickets?
DH's birthday in on the same day as the Billy Joel concert coming up. I knew he would LOVE to go, so I got tix for us and his 2 boys. I really want to surprise him and was thinking I'd just say, come on, we're getting on the train, but then he would probably immediately guess where we're going - which I might still do, anyway. But I also got him a Billy Joel t-shirt, so he'll probably want to wear that to the show, which won't work if I don't tell him know where we are going til we get on the train. So I am trying to think of a way to give him the tix and shirt before we have to leave for the show, other than just wrapping them up for him to open. Any ideas for anything clever I could do?

you can have him do a scavenger hunt of clues or a puzzle to guess? we got my mom tickets to celine dion one year- he made her a hand made jewerly box with a bracelet in it- she thought that was the gift and then my dad was like "open the bottom you can put more jewerly in there etc and the tickets were in the bottom.

Attach them to the inside of a umbrella.
Tell him to open it and the tix will be hanging inside

I say completely lie. Tell him you have tickets to the Radio city show (or something). On the train be REALLY subtle.
Work the city Allentown into the conversation. Tell him he is a big shot. Tell him you thought that if you had a girl you always loved the nM e Virginia. Maybe small subtle things like that.
Then, when you get to penn am if he noticed anything weird about the trip in. Then tell him that you decided radio city wasn't good enough (or something). Give him the t shirt and let him kinda guess.

I saw someone put balloons in a big box. When they open it, all the balloons flew out and attached to one of the balloons were tickets! It was pretty cool!

I would love to do something like this but he knows the concert is on that day and I'm pretty sure he's pretty bummed thinking I didn't get him tickets and I think he'd be pretty annoyed if I was taking him to something else in the city (he's not a big fan of going to the city, anyway) for his birthday. I think he'd pretty much know right away its to go see Billy Joel and I wouldn't be very good at keeping up with a fake story ( no poker face here!)
I can't do the scavenger hunt because we will have a very short time from when I get home from work til we have to leave for the train
I think I will do the umbrella or ballon idea. Thanks everyone!

My sister got tickets for her boyfriend for Christmas. We were just at Kohl's over the weekend and she bought a totally fake gift box to put the tickets in. They had some REALLY funny ones.
She got "The Pet Petter".
