How many Christmas gifts do you buy your LO?
We don't set a limit. We get what we get and some years yes we go overboard and others we don't.

How many Christmas gifts do you buy your LO?
This was going to be a small christmas. Yeah I am staring at a pile of presents. Not sure how many but I justify it by saying she doesn't get toys really during the year.

I don't count - I usually try not to go over a certain amount $ wise. This year there was no 'big' gift - No iPads, iPods, gaming systems etc -
Last year I read something about what kids get from "Santa" vs. what their friends, classmates etc get - and to consider the child who's parents budget is $, vs the one who's parents budget is $$$$$$$$$$$$ - Why did Santa give Joe a basketball, but he gave John an iPad, PS4, and 500 other things?
I never thought of it that way. So, this year, they are getting 2 or 3 gifts from "Santa", things they asked 'him' for, but not crazy expensive, and the rest will be from Mommy and Daddy -
I also wised up this year and let my parents, sister buy some things that they specifically asked for -
My ILs do their own thing -
My cousins (we spend Christmas Eve w/ a parrt of my extended family) also give the kids ......so they get a LOT of 'stuff'

How many Christmas gifts do you buy your LO?
The baby will be getting 5-6 gifts. Mostly small things because he is still so little.
My older DS will have a lot of gifts. This year he isn't really getting a "big" gift. In fact, many of the toys he wanted were super cheap and small so even if he has 20 gifts, I am still coming in under what I planned on spending originally.

at least 8 (hanukkah) but i have to admit some nights she gets more than 1, so sometimes its like 15 gifts! (thats if they are smaller in cost though)... like I can get her a bunch of coloring books from the $1 store and a new big pack of crayons and a pack of markers and its like under $20 so i dont care that it was 3-8 things to open that night. If its a high cost item, like the year we gave her the laugh and learn house, that is the only item she gets that night and other nights were much smaller like hair accessories, etc.

So far she has 3 gifts from Santa....I am going to buy her 1 or 2 more. She also gets things from family members

Dd is an only child and only grandchild right now so probably too much.
15 so far from us
10 from my in laws that I know of, but I'm assuming it will be closer to 20/25
Then my parents, my sister, my dhs brother, our best friends, and a few family friends.
It's a lot, but I save a bunch to space out until her bday in July, and I don't buy her any books or toys unless it's a holiday

Both sides of the family buy them a lot. From Santa...........they probably have about 20 gifts each plus their stocking. When all is said and done, they easily have 40-50 gifts. Our family is big. 
THIS! I am combining a bunch of things so the actual amount of wrapped presents is smaller (EX: Ariel outfit, crown, shoes, wand and movie all combined in one box).
My parents and my sister/brother go crazy on the kids. They get my kids way more than Santa. I can't even quantify it, it is just a pile. My mom is a shopaholic! I actually had a talk with my mom/dad about limiting the # of presents they get my husband and I because while we are grateful, it just feels awkward at this age. I feel bad limiting the presents they get the kids though!

I have a 2 year old and a 1 month old -
the 2 year old we got about 15 gifts and then the family will get him god knows how many more!
I bought a couple of things for the baby that she needs (clothes), so most of her gifts will be family.

I set a limit of $200/kid, but I'm a big sale shopper- they have about 30 each. It's too much! That 30 only includes 1 outfit each. I spent a little over budget on each, but when I calculate how much it would be without sales, it's about $350/kid. Also, both of my boys have bdays close to xmas- little one today and big one feb 1st. I order too much and pull out 1 big gift for bday!

I think of gifts as more of genres or themes than amount, because the dollar amount varies so much. This year, between Santa and relatives, she's getting some outdoor stuff (tricycle, roller skates, helmet), board games (a few), princess dresses and accessories, ballet accessories, Legos and a few arts and crafts sets.
Her bday is a week before Christmas and she's getting "bedding" - peppa comforter,sheets, hamper, etc.
It seems like a lot of stuff, but our family is huge, and with her bday so close to Christmas, we try to predict stuff to last the whole year. She won't have a birthday somewhere in between for more stuff!

DD is 4 and we bought her 7 things so far. She didn't ask for anything this year so we really had to think. We're pretty much done though. I just want to get her a couple more little things like a new toothbrush and a new cup.

We don't count. We pick a dollar amount and don't go over. this year we got mostly small gifts since family members snatched up the few big things on her list early.

i got her 4 or 5 things.
We exchange with a few cousins her age and a Kris Kringle with Shauns family so im not going nuts.
My sister is getting her 2 of the bigger items i was planning to get.
My mom got her a ton of clothes.

DS just turned 5... so he got a bunch of stuff for his birthday. so we're just getting him maybe 5 or 6 things for christmas. mostly "bigger" things- a big set of magnatiles, the voice controlled R2D2... we don't have a huge family, so he really just gets gifts from Santa, my mom, sister, and my in laws- maybe my aunt, too.
my parents and my in laws live a few hours away, so we don't see them a ton- so they usually give him stuff during the year every time we see them HAHA AND i'm a SAHM, so he usually cons me into a small toy when we're out on errands :-/ he doesn't NEED anything-- but he gets so excited opening stuff

This year 10 gifts each, but they asked for pricey things. We also get a lot of smaller gifts/ stocking stuffers. We have big families, so they get a lot of things for Christmas. This is the first year we really tried to not buy much of anything outside of the holidays/ their birthdays since it's becoming too much.
