Anyone else have an only child in the 4/5 year old range??
DS is SOO bored, and i feel SO bad!!! :-/ He just turned 5, he's our only child, AND the only kid on both sides of the family (doesn't have any cousins, either). i'm a SAHM.... but he goes to preschool 4 monrings a week until 12 or 1, depending on the day. BUT once i get him from school, the only thing that interests him is watching youtube on his iPad. he pretty much doesn't play with his toys by himself, and really nothing else keeps hhis interest for long.... and obviously, i can't play with him ALL the time! we have a few friends we do playdates with---- but they all have siblings, so its working around the siblings schedules, too.... he also does swim lessons after school on tuesday afternoons, and soccer on saturday AMs (although that just ended). and even when we are around other kids (like at birthday parties, etc) he seems to get overwhelmed with all the other kids--- so its like almost not even worth taking him!! i'm at the point where i just can' wait for him to start full day K next year!!!! anybody else in the same boat??

I have an almost 4 year old. He is in daycare for 10 hrs a day. So during the week he is tired by then end of the day. Weekends we are always on the run so we just keeping moving. I do find he has more energy these days and gets bored quickly. I think it's partially just the age.
