Re: 6 month old schedule

My 6 month old twins are all over the place. Teething has REALLY messed them up.

they eat fruit and oatmeal at about 10am. Sometimes they both eat. Sometimes only one wants to eat.

they eat a veggie and a fruit at about 2pm. Again, sometimes they both eat. Sometimes they don't

i try to offer them fruit and oatmeal again at about 6pm. if they don't eat I will bathe them at this time instead.

They drink formula in between throughout the day. they will drink anywhere between 2 and 5oz per feeding. Again....their drinking has changed since the teething has become worse. Some days they don't want the bottle or solids. Then at night they are starving lunatics. i spoke to the ped. about it and he says its normal due to the teething and overall growth phase.

They take MAYBE two naps a day. Actual naps to me are the ones that last longer than 20mins. GRR. Chat Icon 3 if I include those short ones.

One of my girls might get up once to eat then she is out for the night. The other....UHHH she's up a hundred times a night. Chat Icon

I also started giving them a little water in a training sippy cup at night.

Hardly ever! He is 7.5 month and just starting to eat solids (won't eat anything from a spoon though so I have been mashing up real food and giving him puffs cut in half)

5-6 four ounce bottles a day

2 naps (varies 10 minutes - 1 hour)

NO!!!!!! Not straight through anyway. He goes back down but still needs comforting (pat on the back, boob, shushing, whatever works at this point). Also we are in teething hell and have been for what feels like months. He has three bottom teeth and his top two are coming in now so sleep has been pretty bad lately.

6 month old schedule

Wow, I guess I am very fortunate. My 6 month old DD is on a pretty regimented schedule:
6AM: Wakeup
7AM: Dropped off at daycare
7:30AM: Bottle (7oz)
9:30AM: Breakfast -- Oatmeal
10-11:30ish: Nap
11:30AM: Bottle (7oz)
1:30/2PM: Lunch -- Fruit/Veggie Combo (i.e. Apple Carrot)
2:30-3:30ish: Nap
3:45PM: Bottle (7oz)
4:30PM: Picked up from daycare
6PM: Dinner
7:15PM: Bath
8PM: Bottle (7oz)
8:20ish: Bedtime -- and yes, sleeps through the night with the occasional crying/fussing because her pacifier popped out

Re: 6 month old schedule

DD will be 6 months tomorrow.

She's eating purees, usually twice a day.

She has 4, maybe 5 bottles a day. 5-7oz per bottle.

Naps are not consistent yet. On day care days she usually takes an extra nap because I have to wake her up early. So 3-4 naps per day, but anywhere from 45mins-2 hours.

Yes, she usually STTN though there are paci wake ups once or twice on some nights. Two nights ago she woke up starving at 1am and downed a whole bottle, but that's not typical anymore.

This is why I am considering day care. My mom watches him full time and does not adhere to a schedule at all!!!! It drives me nuts. So I feel like it is just a free for all in our house and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. But at the same time she is watching him for free so there is not much I can say. : /

Yeah, I have nothing but great things to say about the particular daycare that DD goes to. They are the ones who got her on this schedule for me and they stick to it which helps build the habit. In addition, she has been holding her own bottle since 4.5 months and almost feeding herself food from the spoon. I think if she was with me all day or a family member, she (and her schedule) would be a hot mess! Ha!

Re: 6 month old schedule

My 6 mo old won't eat off of a spoon either. Its been a struggle. I've been feeding her directly from a pouch and giving her teething wafters and avocado slices. She just wants to feed herself. Sometimes I'll put frozen blueberries or banana in the mesh feeder basket and let her have at it. I try to feed her breakfast and dinner but it doesn't always happen and she doesn't always eat much. She'll eat like half a pouch, a couple of teething wafers and a mesh basket of blueberries on average.

As far as bottles, she gets 2- 6-7oz bottles of BM at day care and I nurse her the rest of the time. I'm guessing she averages about 22-28 oz of milk per day.

She usually naps 3x a day at daycare. 1 in the AM, 1 early PM and 1 late PM. Doesn't always happen but that's the norm. Naps can range from 30 mins to 2+ hours.

She doesn't totally STTN but she usually only gets up once to eat. I still feed her because she's been struggling with weight at docs so I want to make sure she gets milk when she wants it.

Teething has also been a royal b!tch! She already cut one tooth and there's another one just about to peek out in the bottom front but its been rough.

Edited because apparently we can't say b!tch Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
