Opinions on gift for baby shower...
My SIL is having twins. Her shower is this weekend. Her registry is pretty much done. All that is really left is little things. I was going to get her car seats but was just informed someone else purchased. Will it be lame to give a gift card, put a note saying after she settles everything in she can use the money to buy things she needs/wants?

I don't think it's lame. Money is a gift that's never returned. I would still try to get *something* for her to open though- onesies or diapers or something.

Being its your SIL I wouldn't do just a GC
Maybe get a small cute personalized gift to go with it.
Check on etsy for a token gift to go along with it

I agree, along with the gift card should be something more personal...maybe two cute outfits or blankets.

You can never go wrong with a gift card. I would also buy something small just for her to open though.

I don't think it's lame, but I do think it looks like you waited until the last minute. I would try to buy something special for her to open and then the gift card as well.

I would get a little something thoughtful and maybe a visa gift card so she can get anything she needs and isn't limited to babies r us or buy buy baby.

Opinions on gift for baby shower...
Probably did not register for bebe bottle sling - they were very helpful - maybe ask other twins moms some of their favorite tricks and put together with gift card or other small helpful items
only mom's of multiples know you need to learn to bottle prop at times

I would prefer the gift card obviously, its very sweet and generous, but everyone wants to see something unwrapped, so why not a special 2 outfits or a childrens book or 2 little toys to open in addition to the GC?

Gift Card - and book(s).
Did you have a favorite as a kid? I liked the ones I got from my friends/family - especially my cousins' kids a little older than mine - they wrote notes to the baby in them
