What to send
One of friends lost her step dad suddenly over the weekend. Her mother and him were always so good to all of us (there is a big group of us that have been friends for 15+ years).
They are very popular and have a lot of friends from all over, so flower arrangements will be spilling out of the funeral home.
Is there anything else that we can send? Her mother is a complete mess and is not eating, so I know food will go to waste.

Re: What to send
I would do a platter of bagels as you can freeze them easily. Alternatively, soup and food from bens.

What to send
Maybe a restaurant gift card, for when she is feeling better, she probably will not want to cook for just her so she can get some takeout.

What to send
Honestly, I would still send food, even though you said she's not eating. She HAS to eat and prob won't have the head to make anything for herself, so at least she'll have that. It is going to be a huge help, trust me.

I agree, I've been in this position and even though they aren't eating people will probably be in and out of there house for the next few days and they are going to have to feed those people.
