3 year old nap help
my 3 year old still needs a nap it seems, but she doesn't usually fall asleep until late, so she usually wakes up between 4:00-4:45. Is this nap too late if her bedtime is at 8pm? thats only like 3-4 hours of awake time before she goes back down. Granted she usually takes awhile to fall asleep whether she has a nap or not. so she usually isnt actually asleep until 9 or after.

Re: 3 year old nap help
Is it making bed time a issue. If not them I would leave it
My kids haven't napped in years lol. A 2 min nap means up till midnight. If I see ees getting heavy I turn into a one man band to get them peppy lol

Lol. Love this visual. I'm the same way with my 3yo. She hasn't napped in over a year, but if she does- boy do I pay for it!!!
So to answer OP- if she's going to bed ok and sleeping thru the night, I don't see an issue with what time she's napping.

3 year old nap help
Ds is 3.5 and still naps, especially now that he started school. I don't let him sleep past 4:30. Ideally, he naps from 2-3:30. We start bedtime at 9, he's usually out by 9:30. It's what works for us. So to answer your Q, if you find it doesn't interfere with bedtime then definitely keep the nap. I'm sure you can use the break too! Lol

3 year old nap help
my oldest son still naps occasionally and it has always been on the late side (2-4 or sometimes later). I agree with PP, as long as it doesn't affect bed time, go for it. we need whatever break we can get!

Re: 3 year old nap help
My 3 year old naps on most days...We wake him up by 3:30 if he's still sleeping b/c he will be up much later if he sleeps later than 4.
Depending on what time your DD gets up, can you try to nap her a little earlier and have her up by 3:30/4?

Re: 3 year old nap help
If she has no issues going to sleep at night then I don't think it matters. My DS stopped napping around when he turned 3, its better that way because he goes to bed earlier like 830ish.. when he was napping he would go to bed 930-10.
