gifts for daycare after his graduation

my son is going to be 18 months and i am taking him out of an at home daycare to a learning daycare facility (similar to a tutor time place)

He has been at this daycare since he has been 8 weeks until now

They love him, as much as he loved it there but at his age its time to move on

Would you get the staff a gift? and if so what? and how much?
he was there 3 days a week

how many staff members are there?

for me, when my son "graduated" from the infant room to the toddler room his infant room had like ten different people, who would tend to him, at different times depending on their shifts -- mornings, afternoons, some only worked Monday's and Friday's, whatever.

then, he had a head teacher. she was absolutely fabulous. she was the lead teacher in that room. so, i gave her a check. now, i probably would have done maybe $50 but she was so outstanding with my son and she went above and beyond that i gave her $100. she is truly one of those special one-of-a-kind people. love her.

so, i gave her the big gift privately in a really nice card, with a hand written thank you.... then, for the other staff members i catered in a nice lunch. i asked the center director for a good time where everyone would be there. i asked if there were any dietary restrictions, etc. and i catered in from a nice restaurant who delivered it to them. i gave the restaurant a thank you card to deliver with the lunch. they loved it.
