Holiday Photo Shoot?
Any recommendations? Does anyone do Sears, Target, etc? If so, how do they come out? I did a private photog session last year and they came out great - was thinking of using her again but then I thought won't it be all the same backdrops, etc? TIA!

Re: Holiday Photo Shoot?
I have done, last year, Picture People and Target.
Target came out great for the price - it was so cheap because I used the Groupon deal or Living Social, whatever they were offering at the time. I was happy with the quality and I made super cheap cards at Costco with them.
My experience and pic of card with Target and Costco for printing:
Then, for other occasions, I used Picture People - also on a Groupon deal!
My Easter Experience at Picture People:
PP has two locations now - Huntington in the Buy Buy Baby store OR Roosevelt Field Mall. I believe the Buy Buy Baby in Garden City also has a PP.
Now, this year, I wanted to do something a little more personal and a little more special. I was referred, by some of my fellow LIFer moms to Kreative Kidz Photography. Then, a couple friend of my boyfriend and I -- my boyfriend works with this couple -- they recently had a baby girl and used KK for their newborn shoot. They are using her for a mini Christmas session this year!
So, I inquired and was very happy with what KK has to offer -- the price, for me, is great, a twenty minute private shoot at her studio WITH her very own Santa -- and the Santa looks GREAT!!!! I'm super excited. So, I booked her this year. I will surely do a review
Kreative Kidz
I love the outdoor Christmas tree farm option too!! It was hard to decide but I did do indoor this time around.
I also love and can highly recommend my newborn photog -- Sandra from September Blue. She does Christmas sessions also. This year, it was not in my budget. But I absolutely adore her and her work is just beautiful.
Hope that helps!!!

Holiday Photo Shoot?
We just took our holiday photos on Saturday with Marie Christine photography. I find her prices to be great, and we've used her in the past. I can't wait to see our pics!

KK is who I used for Christmas last year and I LOVE the pics! How does the pricing compare to Target/PP? I think a mini session is $250 for KK. I'm just concerned abt the pics looking exactly the same (except DS being a year older LoL). The backdrops she has advertised on her site are last year's (of course). Maybe I'll call her.
Tx for all responses!

Oh ok -- you get the discount because you are a return customer.
I would ask her about the backgrounds --- I'm sure there are other options. I would mention which backgrounds you had and see if she can offer something different.
I know with the Picture People, that happened where they had similar backgrounds so I asked and we came up with other options.
Target was very cheap bc of the groupon otherwise the moms that were ahead of me and after me were paying $150-$225++ depending on what they got.
Same thing with Picture People.
So, I was surprised to see that it is somewhat comparable if you don't have Groupon.

Wow, very comparable. Last year she had all the 'scenes' pre-set in her studio. There wasn't any time for selecting new scenes/changing as she schedules back to back shoots. I'm thinking of doing the outdoor shoot instead but I've just sent her an email to see if she's changing up sets/props this year.
Thanks for all the other names, too! Will be searching around.

Re: Holiday Photo Shoot?
Most private photographers change up their back drops, check with them if you really liked them.
I have used Target a few times - (with a Groupon) and I really liked them too, but they do not edit the pictures like a private photographer does.
