International Travel with a 4yo and a 2yo for the first time
Can anyone offer any advice on how to pack, should I bring a stroller, how do I even begin? A bit of a nervous wreck worrying about the 16 hour flight, how to keep the kids occupied, safe and comfortable in crowded areas! TIA!!

Are you traveling alone or can you bring two strollers? If you can take two strollers then you will be all set - take them all the way to the gate and they gate check them for you. Pack extra diapers, change of clothes for you and the kids in case they decide to poop, throw up or any other 100 scenarios that might happen all over you.
Snacks, water bottles to fill once you are passed security - entertainment - how every they like to be entertained = kindles, coloring, etch a sketch, cuddly toys etc - bring a small backpack for you to carry so your hands are free. Pack two light blankets for them for the plane as it does get cold and sometimes it takes the stewardess some time to get the blankets out and your kids might be asleep already. Plane food is nasty but they might be able to pick at some of the stuff - pre order the kids meals if you think that will help.
Pack your patience and have fun!

I travelled with my 4 and 2 yr old kids too for 24 hours. I went to Asia. and i was alone with my kids. i did not bring stroller with me because i know they would love to walk after a long sit on the plane and i was right. the only problem i encountered was when taking off and landing , my 2 year old boy was screaming a lot and doesn't want the seat belt part. so the pilot need to come with us to help me. lol the flight attendants cant do anything so the pilot need to calm the kid and gave me a different seatbelt for him. by the way, i listened to some forum to bring this and that and none of them was used. lol its just an extra baggage for me. i have 2 kids one backpack, one diaper bag for the toys and food but the still love to watch dvd on board.

Re: International Travel with a 4yo and a 2yo for the first time
I've done it on an 8 hour trip. I was a mess but managed. My DH handled our 4yr old and I handled our very active and vocal 2 year old. I sat next to a lovely person that wanted to help and a ***** in front of me complaining. I would highly recommend that mid front row seating which has a lot of leg room, bring DVD player, iPad, snacks they love just a bag of things they would enjoy coloring pages playdoh etc., I would have them walk in the aisle here and there to stretch. Being that it was a night trip they did nod off.
