star as a gift
Do people still buy a star as a gift? If yes, do you know where I would get one? TIA

I wouldn't. It's really not legit (there's no real jurisdiction over owning a star). It's really a waste of money, although it's a sweet gesture.
Who is the gift for? Maybe we can help with ideas if you want

But you can plant a tree in our national forest and the persons name will be written in the book where the tree was planted. A group of us did this for someone who for her saving the environment is important and she loved the idea.
I have also "adopted" sea turtles etc from the riverhead foundation for people as a gift. Usual for someone older and does not need anything for the home, etc
