Apple picking in LI
What's a good place to go to where they have things for the kids to do too?

We will be going to Harbes for the second year in a row. There were a few climbing structures, baby farm animals to look at (not pet), pony rides ($5), corn hole toss, candle making (for a fee), and a corn maze (for a fee). There was food too. We were considering Hanks Pumpkintown as well, but it was another 30 mins further east and more expensive (though the fee included a ton of activities). Hanks seemed more like a white post farms type of fall festival if that's what you're looking for.

I like Lewins farm the best but they don't have anything to do except pick apples but we've been too Hanks Pumpkin town in watermill. They have tons for kids too. Cute climb on things for the small ones and a lot of stuff for older kids. Lots of celeb watching as well if you're into that.

We just went to Windy Acres in Calverton and the kids had a blast. They have several wooden play areas.

We went to Harbes last weekend (second year in a row) and really enjoyed it. They also have a hayride, but it wasn't yet open. The corn maze is a lot of fun; it's interactive and the kids enjoyed it! They also have pumpkin picking (besides the apples). They encourage you to try the apples while you're picking too. We had our share of taste-testing!
