Cleaning person schedule....

When we hied our cleaning lady a couple of months ago, we worked out a schedule of every other Saturday.. Over the summer we tweaked it a little bit to adjust to our plans and her plans.. Now it seems to be whenever she is good. She was suppose to come saturday but showed up today. Then I said we need to get back on schedule and she can come 2 weeks from this saturday. She said that doesn't work with her schedule.. Who makes the schedule? Us or her.. We will be away when he wants to come and I am not sure if after school will work for us....

And she keeps commenting on how many toys my son has... Every time she is like wow, did you get something else... Starting to tick me off..

I've been through a lot of cleaning people. One of the reasons is the issue you're having above. They come when they want. That doesn't work for me.

It's hard to find a good cleaning person. Either they are always late, come when they want, break stuff. Some even steal stuff.

My last one kept breaking our baby gates. That was the final straw for me

Mine is great - reliable trustworthy goes above and beyond and just makes the place look great.

I let her come the day she wants to but it's only one or 2 days different (tues or weds). It doesn't bother me cause I am at work anyway. She also is an aide for an elderly man and cleans my neighbors place more frequently.

If she changed the day of the week I wouldn't complain since I don't want to lose her.

I wouldn't mind if she was changing days once in a while, but she has been coming different days for the last 5 visits and one week she never showed up!

I love my cleaning lady. I never asked her when to come. My only request was that she pick any day and time and stick to it. She chose Wednesday because that was when she said she could be most consistent. She has been coming to us every other Wednesday for almost 8 months and she always arrives between 8-8:30. ALWAYS!!! Has never changed day or time.

Cleaning person schedule....

I really like my cleaning ladies. We started out doing Tuesdays at 830. After awhile it was just easier to give her the key. Now I have her come any time on Tuesday since i'm at work. It works out much better.

You both have to agree on a schedule, but it has to make sense for her. It doesn't make sense to drive all over LI in one day. I know mine does certain areas on certain days.

I wouldn't do after school. If you trust them, give them the key. It makes it so much easier! It sounds like you're not happy with them though. I would get annoyed by the comments too. Mine is great--she cleans up the toys, puts my dishes away and washes the ones I don't get too. NEVER complains!

We won't have anyone in the house when we aren't home.. It is a security thing.. And someone is usually home.. I wouldn't mind if she had to alternate days on occasion, but we need to narrow it down to a day close to saturday. And a time... It was 10am saturdays when she first started. Then it went to a Monday, Thursday, Sunday.... All different times. It was hard to get a set day. I would tell her which days worked for us and none seemed to work for her..Now we have conflicting weekends and won't have her for 4 weeks...
I think we will just have to sit down and figure out a better schedule..

I have the opposite problem. My cleaning lady shows up even when I cancel, so she is here every other week no matter WHAT.

My cleaning crew comes every other Wednesday (this is the day they are in my specific town). She calls the evening before with 2 time slots for us to choose from, it works out well as I make sure to work from home every other Wednesday.
