When is the best time to go apple picking? I go every year, and always forget when I should go.

Soon. Usually the first 3 wks of Sept. Once you get towards the end of the month there isn't much left on the trees.

Does this unseasonable heat affect the apples at all? Like do they rot faster when it's 90 degrees in Sept?

I'm not sure about the heat, I know when we've had really rainy seasons though the apples end up being mushy and rotted. I hope it's a good crop this year!
