Has anyone done one of the guided tours at 9/11 Memorial? We want to do a guided tour but there seem to be diff options. I am looking for opinions.

1. 45 min guided tour through the 9/11 Memorial

2. 1 hr 15 min guided tour through a the 9/11 Tribute Center, which is different than the 9/11 Memorial? This one states the tour is given by those who were directly affected by 9/11.

Also, what about the 9/11 Museum vs. the Tribute Center? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

DH & I did the memorial/museum 2 weeks ago. We did not do a guided tour but there was one going through the museum at the same time as us. We were in the museum for 2 hours and we could have stayed longer, it just got to be very mentally draining after awhile and we had to get out of there. There is one "section" alone that took us an hour to walk through, and that was only about 25% of the museum. It really all depends on what you are looking to get out of it but if you want to take your time and really take it all in, I would do it without a guide. As for the guided tour, I don't think the memorial alone warrants 45 min. It is just the two pools with the names surrounding it. Very beautiful but we only did that for 15 min...looked for the names of the 2 people that I knew that died and then we moved on. I am sorry I can't be of more help but I did want to give you the perspective from someone who was just there.
Either way, it is a beautiful tribute to the victims. We are so happy we did it.

We did a guided tour of the museum and really enjoyed it (as much as you can given the content). The guide was great and gave some extra info/stories. We didn't go through everything and there were things we wanted to spend extra time on so we need to go back. It's a lot so tour or not, we couldn't have done it all at once.
