Nassau County and alarms
Just bought a new house. I was told I need an alarm permit from the county. Do I do that before I hook up the alarm? There is an alarm in place already, I just need to get a new contract on it. I'm a little lost - what do I do first?

You will need the certificate from the alarm company in order to get the permit. But get it right away. We had a false alarm and they charged us $150 for the permit and $100 for the police to visit our house. If you have the permit the first false alarm is free.

You can't get the permit without the alarm-there's a way to do it online now l think
