Gift for your ex nanny's son's wedding?

Our former nanny invited us to her son's wedding. We cannot go as we are going out of town.

Our old nanny still occasionally babysits and cooks/cleans for us. I am now a SAHM so we don't use her as much.

Would you send a gift?

I was thinking $300. DH thinks $100. We always disagree on wedding gifts.

If you're not going, $100 is more than enough.

I would probably send 150-200.

I don't know if it makes a difference but we did not receive a formal invitation. Our ex nanny texted us the details of the wedding.

$0-100

$50 in usually what I have given in that scenario.

Another option is a gift card to a nice restaurant/house supply store (I've given & recieved these). Again, $50-100 range max (but you could use points from credit cards).

I wouldn't stress cc formal invitation: many people are going without now (esp with smaller weddings). Or doing
Evites.

You can, of course, give nothing (you are not obligated at all)... But since you are still using babysitter, I'd give something.

$100 is appropriate if you aren't going.

$100 is more than enough. I would probably spend $50 and send a physical gift if I didn't even receive an invitation.
