How many kids/class?
How many children are in your child's class? I ask because at the orientation, the principal said the max is 25/class and that this year it seems the classes will be at full capacity. This was in June, and although some more families may have signed up/moved in, I am still thinking that is a HUGE class size!!! Are all districts this large?

How many kids/class?
26 kids was usually the class size for most of the classes in the school I worked in. One K class had 29 at certain points last year (because there were students mainstreaming).
I had a student move to our district with 40 in his second grade class. But this was in a high needs district.

I know my district's unoffical max is 25 in k-2...I have 17 slated for my class this year. Their policy is to open a new class section once eat class has gone over the max (so each to 26). Last year they didn't do that for whatever reason but have each class over a half time TA.

I'm in CT, but DS's K and 1st grade classes were between 15-17 kids. I assume there will be a similar number this year too.

How many kids/class?
I'm in CT and our class size will be around 19 this year. This year they added a class to make 3 sections around 19 kids each. Last year the class was much bigger but only 2 sections.

DS #1 had about 21 kids in K and 17 in 1st (it was peanut class so most didn't want there kid in it)
DS #2 had 22 in K

I do know a district near me that had 29 in k a few years ago with no TA.

The district I work in doesn't even have a cap. I had 30 kindergarteners one year. I'm not sure about my home district because my daughter isn't school aged yet.

How many kids/class?
The K classes are anywhere from 18-21 kids max with an aide in each class. They can go up to 25 in the higher grades more in the high school. DD is going into third and they added another section to her grade so each class only has 16. I'm beyond thrilled!!

In K, my DD had 27 kids!!! Her teacher was awesome though, and handled it.
1st, 21 kids. Great
2nd, 26 kids. HORRIBLE...teacher couldn't handle the amount and complained about it everyday.

They must have opened another class for K in our district.
We do live in an awesome school district.
