Eyes in baby monitor?? UPDATE
Just a random weird question please.....
In the video monitor my 3 year old DD's one eye glows and one eye doesn't. Anyone have an experience? Should both eyes glow or both eyes be dark? Don't really know whether it is new or not I really haven't notice a differnce before. And all of a sudden now I am worried they are different.....do you think I should be??
UPDATE:
So I brought my little in to the ped. Said everything looks completely normal with her eyes with the special tools. She did notice that one of her pupils is smaller than the other. And maybe dilates a bit slower. She has no problems seeing and in fact sees things sometimes that it takes me a minute to find (like a building or something when we are driving, etc.) Anyways she just said for now we would keep an eye on it and if I noticed that her eyesight was changing to make sure to bring her in right away. So nothing for now.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I bring her to an eye doctor even though everything seems to be normal for now??

That's so interesting! When it's dark and the camera is using night vision, all my kids eyes glow. I would think if one eye is not glowing, maybe there's some slight difference in coloration of the eye or something.

For peace of mind take them to an ophthalmologist.
Not trying to scare you, but a mom had posted a pic of her young child on Facebook. A friend noticed in the pic that one eye had a glow of sorts. Well it turns out it was a serious illness that was thankfully treated in time.
It's probably nothing and maybe the way they are laying or the camera is hitting it?

Both eyes should glow.
Both should have equal "red eye" on pics too (unless angle is off).
I agree, mention to ped for piece of mind!

I was just about to post the same thing. I remember that mom posting the picture of one eye glowing and it ended up revealing some issues that they were lucky to find. So I'd definitely schedule a check-up with an eye doctor just in case! Everything's probably fine, but doesn't hurt to be cautious.

I remember reading this too. Whatever it was, was fixable. Good job mom for noticing! Better safe than sorry. Hugs

Night vision makes the eyes glow. If one eye is only glowing I would take him to the eye dr to just get it checked. I know sometimes my sons eyes don't glow at all.

I would go to an ophthalmologist as well though, especially after what your ped said.

I would bring her to an opthamologist if only for peace of mind. They have so many more tools and can see behind the eye, etc. I'd also want to make sure the one pupil being smaller is ok.
