Changing a sleeping baby's diaper?

After her bath, I put DD in her pajamas and then I give her a bottle while snuggling with her on the couch. She usually falls asleep in my arms pretty quickly after the bottle is done. She sometimes wets her diaper after the bottle, before I take her upstairs to put her down in the crib. Would you change your baby's diaper before you put them in the crib for the night and risk waking them up? Or just leave the diaper on them for the night? Not sure if this matters but DD is 3 months and sleeps between 8-9 hours a night.

I wouldn't wake her to change her diaper. When she wakes for s feeding I would change it before I fed her.

I change his diaper before putting him down. I do it really slowly and without really any light, give him pacifier and he's usually good to go.

I think I did for the first few weeks, maybe even a month. But after, if it was just a little pee, I'd just put her down.

Now if she happens to fall asleep before bedtime, like if we're out and she falls asleep in the car, we'll change her bc she pees like crazy at night and will leak if we don't put a diaper liner on. She's 17m old now though.

Yeah, I don't change ds during the night. He's slept 8-9 hours since about 3 months and is now up to about 11+, I refuse to wake him to change him, or attempt to change him when he is asleep. I really like the pampers or bj's 12 hour diapers and I put a lot of diaper cream on his tushy at the last diaper change of the night.

As long as she doesn't soak through diapers at night, which I doubt at her age, then I would just put her down.

I wouldn't change it before putting them down. I always changed their diapers before a bottle and put them down after. As soon as they wake up, I changed it. Use the nighttime diapers for long stretches.

After my son's bath - and this has been for as long as I can remember (he's now 2), he gets into his PJ's and I put a nighttime/overnight diaper on him. I like Pampers the best. Huggies is good also.

Anyway, once I put that on he is usually good for 10 or so hours. FROM TIME TO TIME if he has had a lot to drink (this was mostly when he switched from bottles to milk and water) he would either fill the diaper or maybe wet through it just a bit. But usually it held strong! Which was great!

Sometimes, I'll go in right before I go to bed (say like 10-11pm) since he has been asleep in it since his bedtime of 7pm and I'll feel it. If it feels like it is already kind of full or getting there, I'll just take him and change him right then and there into a new nighttime diaper. He doesn't even wake up! Then I know for sure he'll be good in the morning at 7am.

He sleeps for twelve hours so I have to do that sometimes but he doesn't wake.

Anyway, I would highly recommend the nighttime diapers - and see how you do and see if you need to feel it then before you go to bed and switch it out during the night but you probably won't need to. My son drinks and inordinate amount of water

I'd leave it, but my DS does not pee a lot when he sleeps. I probably haven't changed his diaper in the middle of the night since he was 4-5 months old. Any time I would, it would cause him to become aggitated and his 5-10 minute wake up would be an hour!

I wouldn't change if it's just 1 pee. Do you have the baby in overnight diapers? That'll help.

That being said, at 3 months it's smart to put the baby down drowsy but awake to teach them to fall asleep on their own, so I wouldn't feel bad about changing the diaper either. Whatever you're most comfortable with.
