Open job postings?
Where do you all post your open position postings? I know we've posted on Craigslist, and I also just posted on a Facebook Long Island job posting page, but I don't know if it's worth it to post on Indeed and what other sites to use as well. Any suggestions for where you've found some outstanding applicants? This is specifically for medical practice reception - entry level jobs. I feel like in both practices I am currently working with (yes working at both currently), we are not getting any stellar applicants for the positions. Some good ones, but a lot without any experience, which is difficult to work with when trying to fill positions that need to autonomous.

Re: Open job postings?
If you are on Linked In join some groups for your field and post in there.
I also like Monster.com or Career Builder for admin roles but that's a paid board for posting so you'd have to pay for that

Re: Open job postings?
I work for the largest health and hospital system in the area.
Often entry-level positions go to outstanding students.
My rec would be to reach out to some of the local schools.
But still be picky.
Different thread, but I still won't take just any student who crosses my path.
I know some of the community colleges like to place students for internships and then we've hired if they were amazing.
Can be a different path to take, KWIM?

My mom manages a medical practice and honestly, anyone she's ever hired has been a friend/acquaintance of someone who already works there. The only time someone was hired through a posting the person ended up being a disaster. I feel like word of mouth is the way to go for these types of jobs.

This too but I have the impression OP already exhausted that route.

This is exactly what I was thinking. My new job is relatively local to a university and I was thinking of reaching out there.

Re: Open job postings?
What about contacting a school that has programs in Medical Billing or Medical Office Assistant? I'm sure they have a job board and are looking to place recent graduates. I think Hunter Business School in Levittown has a Medical Billing Program. Maybe evn a part time or night student would be interested in the position knowing they can eventually move up. It's worth a shot.
Congrats and best of luck in your next job.

Could you look for candidates rather than posting jobs? I'm not sure if there's a fee but that's how my current position found me on Indeed. I've looked at resumes on craigslist at past positions.

Yeah, that's what I started doing yesterday. I don't mind combing through the posted resumes. I think I've found some interesting candidates.
