Winthrop Ambulatory Surgery Center - Garden City - Zechendorf Blvd
Has anyone gone there?
I'm assuming that they have a waiting room.
What about a cafeteria or vending machines?

I had surgery there a couple of years ago. There's a fairly large waiting area, but it has been packed everytime I've been there. The center is directly connected to the main hospital (Winthrop), so there's a full cafeteria available as well as vending machines.

I had surgery there a couple of years ago. There's a fairly large waiting area, but it has been packed everytime I've been there. The center is directly connected to the main hospital (Winthrop), so there's a full cafeteria available as well as vending machines.

Yes, I had surgery recently and it is very close to the cafeteria. They have complimentary coffe/water/tea station in the waiting area too

Winthrop Ambulatory Surgery Center - Garden City
Are you going to the one on Zeckendorf in Garden City near the DMV? That is not connected to the hospital. The hospital is in Mineola. I have not been to the one in Garden City, but I think some of the above info may be wrong.

Yes..it is on Zeckendorf Blvd in Garden City.
Yes..it is affiliated with Winthrop Hospital in Mineola.

The one on Zeckendorf is outpatient only. It is not attached to the hospital and there is no cafeteria. I'm not sure about vending machines to be honest.

It is part of the hospital system... just not attached to the hospital. My orthopedic dr uses this location for his surgeries.

DH had surgery at the zeckendorf location last year. There is a waiting room and they have the water coolers but I don't remember a vending machine. There may be one but I don't remember it.

Winthrop Ambulatory Surgery Center - Garden City
I had surgery here in October and December. It's no where near the hospital. They are affiliated but not close in location. There is a waiting room but no cafeteria or vending machines. There is one little tv. I would bring a book or iPad. If you need to leave they take your cell bp number and call you when the patient surgery is done, but my husband just stayed.

I am a little confused...
I am talking about the Winthrop Ambulatory Surgery Center on Zechendorf Blvd in Garden City...not too far from Roosevelt Mall.
It is associated with the Winthrop Hospital.
Someone said 'connected'. Not sure if they meant physically connected...
Just wondering if I should bring something to eat or can I either buy something in the cafeteria or in a vending machine.

I wrote my response because someone said it is connected to the hospital, which has a full cafeteria, so I wanted to clarify that it is not physically connected to the main hospital, it's located in a different town from the main hospital. Go by what the last two people who responded wrote. I would probably just bring something with me.

Oh! There is an Ambulatory Surgery Center attached to the hospital, but it's fefintely not on Zeckendorf. I didn't even know there was another one. Sorry for the misinformation! The one attached to the hospital is out-patient as well.
