Does anyone have any personal experience with a family member at the LISVH in Stony Brook?

Especially for relatively short term inpatient rehabilitation. Looking to get some opinions (good or bad) on the staff, the way the day was structured, the facility itself, and whether you felt your loved one saw benefit from being there or not.

Looking into the LISVH for a family member and was just wanting to see if anyone had any personal experiences they would be willing to share before we choose a facility.

Does anyone have any personal experience with a family member at the LISVH in Stony Brook?

I work there, not with the patients but down in the kitchen but I also have friends who have family that lived there. It is one of the best vets homes in the country, they actually use it as an example for the other ones. They have a ton of activities for the residents, they even go on fishing trips and stuff. If I had to place a family member, I would have no problem putting them there. If you have any questions that I might be able to help you with, feel free to fm me.
