Hall rental on New Year's Eve, impossible?
My daughter turns 16 on New Year's Day and we tossed around having a sweet 16 but a modest one, like a vfw or firehouse or somewhere like that. Before I even start looking, what are the chances this is even possible? Do most places like this not rent for NY parties? Are there any other options? It would be in Suffolk...

I say if you start looking now... You might have luck. I'd say you might have luck at a regular catering hall (a lot of them do reasonable packages for sweet 16s) over a vfw or firehouse because a lot of those organizations throw their own parties that night and may use the space. But i'd start looking sooner rather than later.

It's definitely possible. I have friends who rent a VFW every year for a NYE party.

I'm just wondering if parents would want their kids out on NYE with all the drinking that happens. Maybe 5-10? Also North Babylon fire house is members only rental. It is so nice though!

True as we have a party at home on NYE as I don't like to go out so I wouldn't want to go and pick up my child after midnight.
