Disney dining

I'm looking to book a trip to disney in november. Does anyone know where I can find info a bout when kids eat or stay free or whatever that deal was? I recall someone saying to wait/look for the free meal plan time or something like that? Thank you

Re: Disney dining

This is JMO but I wouldn't go crazy planning this trip around meals. Our time at Disney is too precious for that.

I also have heard the free meal plan tends to be code for you pay full price on the rooms.

Kids especially I think are easier to find cheap things for and/or you can pack food for them or feed them in the room before the parks.

All rooms (at least on Disney property) I've been told come with a fridge and often a microwave.

We are going down in August and I've only planned one meal a day....we are not big eaters in general and I've been told by numerous sources its going to be so hot we will just want to drink and have something super light from a stand anyway.

I planned a nice dinner out night of check in, Chef Mickey for brunch on one of our pool lounge days, T-Rex for one of our pool lounge days for late lunch/early dinner, The Crystal Palace on the Early Magic day for a late breakfast and that's it so far.

They also get you from what I can see because if you need to cancel reservations or no-show, you get charged $10.00.

Re: Disney dining

The Disney Dining Plan is basically a prepaid meal plan offered so guests can budget their dining costs in advance and (potentially) save money.

The "free" Disney Disney Plan is offered during these dates:

-August 28 through October 2, 2015
-October 25 through October 31, 2015
-November 8 through November 19, 2015
-December 15 through December 21, 2015.

Free dining can only be applied to a non-discounted Walt Disney World vacation package, meaning room and tickets must be included in the package. No other discounts can be applied to the package, so no room discount or purchasing discounted tickets outside of Disney.

Re: Disney dining

We have free dining for our trip in late August/early September. Like other ppl said... They also almost always have a room discount too..., so check whether the room discount or the free dining would save you more.
Depends on what meals you want to do, how many ppl you're going with, etc. we like to eat LOL so free dining was good for us. We're using it as an excuse to do a few more expensive character meals and things like that.

The dining plan includes one "quick service" meal, one sit down meal, and one snack a day... Plus a mug that's refillsble at your resort.
There are only a few rooms available for free dining, so there might not be any left at the resort you want to stay at...
